This 8-day tour to Egypt was designed for runners who want exercise, with lots of cardio (walking) each day,
without too much strain prior to their big run. Plus, it is perfect for anyone who wants to get the most out of a quick trip to Egypt.

8-day Marathon & Tour
- Day 1, Tuesday, Jan 9 - Cairo
You will be met upon your arrival in Cairo and assisted through passport control and customs. Our van will then drive you to your hotel, located near the pyramids.

Overnight: Giza
- Day 2, Wednesday, Jan 10 - Cairo
This morning you will visit the Giza Plateau with the Great Pyramid of Khufu, the Sphinx and Valley Temple of Khafra and the Panoramic Overview.
Options: Inside the Pyramid of Khufu, Camel ride.
After lunch visit the Egyptian Museum, and then catch an evening flight to Luxor and check into the garden wing of the historic Winter Palace Hotel

- Day 3, Thursday, Jan 11 - Luxor
This morning we have scheduled some light sightseeing. Visit Luxor Temple, and Luxor Museum. This afternoon you will complete your race registration, meet your fellow runners, and get your bib.

Overnight: Winter Pavillon
- Day 4, Friday, Jan 12 - Luxor
Its Race Day! Our bus will take you to the starting gate near the Temple of Hatshepsut. At 7:00am the race begins. The race itself consists of 4 loops of about 10km each, passing the temples of Thutmose III, Rameses II, Amenhotep III, and Seti II. Join us this evening for our celebration dinner.

- Day 5, Saturday, Jan 13 - Luxor
Today you can relax and recover. This afternoon, visit Karnak Temple, one of the world's largest temple complexes, built over 1,500 years.

- Day 6, Sunday, Jan 14 - Luxor
Join us for a tour of the West Bank. See the Valley of the Kings, and ancient workers village, the Nobles tombs, and the Ramesseum (mortuary temple of Rameses the Great).

Overnight: Winter Pavillon
- Day 7, Monday, Jan 15 - Cairo
Return to the West Bank to see Medinet Habu (temple of Rameses III) and Deir el Bahri (temple of the female king, Hatshepsut). This afternoon, fly to Cairo and check into your hotel. Join us for a farewell dinner in the world famous Khan el Khalili Bazaar.

- Day 8, Tuesday, Jan 16 - Cairo
Transfer to the airport for your flight home.

- Day 1, Wednesday, Jan 10 - Cairo

Overnight: Le Meridien Airport
- Day 2, Thursday, Jan 11 - Cairo, Luxor
You will be transferred to the airport for your morning flight to Luxor. Upon your arrival, you will check in to the garden wing of the Historic Winter Palace Hotel. This afternoon you will complete your registration, meet your fellow runners, and get your bib.

- Day 3, Friday, Jan 12 - Luxor

- Cost includes Marathon entry fee, 7 - hotel nights, 7- breakfasts, 1- Lunch, 6- Dinners, flights CAI-LXR-CAI, sightseeing as listed in the itinerary, hotel and airport transfers, bus or van transportation, and guide.
- Any items listed as Option generally cost between $5 and $20 per person and can be decided at the time of the tour. Items of a personal nature, like room service, laundry services, alcoholic beverages, or souvenirs purchased, are not included.
