This 10-day tour was designed for those with limited time, but still want to enjoy the best sites in Egypt. It covers the major sights of Cairo and Luxor.

Day 1, Monday - Cairo
You will be met upon your arrival in Cairo and assisted through passport control and customs. Our van will then drive you to your hotel, located near the pyramids.

Day 2, Tuesday - Cairo
This morning, we will visit the Giza Plateau and the Great Pyramid of Khufu,  see the Sphinx, and Valley Temple of Khafra.  After lunch we will be taken to the Necropolis at Saqqara to see the Step Pyramid of Djoser and the Tomb of the Nobleman, Kagemni.
Option: Experience the excitement of a Camel ride at the panoramic overlook.

Day 3, Wednesday - Cairo / Luxor
After checking out of the hotel, the morning will be spent at the Grand Egyptian Museum with the Treasures of Tutankhamun.  After lunch we will fly to Luxor and check into our hotel.

Day 4, Thursday - Luxor
After breakfast, your guide will take you to visit Karnak Temple, the largest temple complex in the world, built over a period of more than 1,500 years. The rest of the day is free until this evening when we will have an after dark tour of Luxor Temple.

Day 5, Friday - Luxor
After an early breakfast a ferry will take you across the Nile to visit the West Bank. Begin your day by visiting the ancient workers village at Dier el Medina, with it’s small Ptolemaic Temple.  This is the ancient village of the workers who built the Pharaoh’s tombs. While there, we will see the beautifully preserved Tomb of Sennedjem. Then it is on to the Valley of the Kings, burial place for the great kings of the 18th, 19th and 20th dynasties, where you will be able to visit several of the most interesting and beautifully decorated tombs, including the Tombs of Tutankhamen, Seti I and Rameses VI. Afterward, we will drive to Deir el Bahri and the temple of the female pharaoh, Hatshepsut.

Day 6, Saturday - Luxor
This morning, we will again cross to the West Bank to visit the Ramesseum (temple of Rameses II), and Medinet Habu (temple of Rameses III). We will have a late lunch aboard a Felucca on the Nile, while we have a leisurely afternoon sail.

Day 7, Sunday - Luxor
Today we have a free day in Luxor.  You might want to shop in the Luxor Souk and swim in the pool today.

Day 8, Monday - Luxor
This morning we’ll take box lunches andhead north to visit the famous, but less visited temples at Abydos and Dendara.

Day 9, Tuesday - Luxor/Cairo
Travel by private van to visit the Temple of Khonsu at Esna. When we return to Luxor, we’ll visit the small but beautiful Luxor Museum. This afternoon you’ll fly to Cairo and check into your hotel.

Day 10, Wednesday - Aswan / Cairo
Transfer to the airport to head home.
